For those who don't know me, my name is Heather. I've been making jewellery, and when I enjoyed the hobby a little too much and ended up with an oversupply I decided to sell some of it for charity.
I chose Kidslink because of the amazing work they do to help children in developing countries, especially Mozambique. Their initiatives are always exciting, and help to preserve and protect the life of children in some of the poorest areas of the world. More events are being booked constantly, and things have run away from me a little, so I decided to make a little web page to keep everybody updated more easily. Please feel free to bookmark this page and check back, or join the email update list to be updated when news or events are added.
85% of all money raised during events (and also from any other jewellery sales outside of events) goes directly to Kidslink International Inc. and is used at their discretion to benefit children. The remaining 15% of money raised is retained and all of this is used to buy more jewellery supplies so that subsequent events can be held.
Current total raised for Kidslink so far: $3835.50 (including donations).
Some of this money has already been used to purchase over 100kg of much-needed educational materials for the Kidz Kingdom project, Mozambique's first pre-school centre.
